Worship/Youth Minister

Position Type: Full-time

Position Summary

The Worship and Youth Minister serves the congregation by providing spiritual leadership in corporate worship and discipleship leadership among students. This role seeks to glorify God by fostering Christ-centered worship, nurturing the faith of young people, and supporting the overall mission of the church through teaching, mentoring, and relational ministry.

Primary Areas of Responsibility

Worship Ministry

The minister will:

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead Christ-centered worship gatherings
  • Select songs, readings, and service elements consistent with Scripture
  • Develop and support worship participants (vocalists, musicians, tech teams)
  • Encourage congregational engagement rather than performance-focused worship
  • Work collaboratively with church leadership in shaping worship services
  • Cultivate a culture of reverent, participatory worship


Youth Ministry

The minister will:

  • Lead and oversee the spiritual formation of middle and high school students
  • Teach biblically grounded lessons that encourage faith and discipleship
  • Build meaningful relationships with students and families
  • Organize classes, devotionals, service projects, and events
  • Equip students to grow in spiritual maturity and church involvement
  • Provide pastoral care, guidance, and encouragement to young people

Shared Ministry Responsibilities

The minister will also:

  • Model Christian character, humility, and servant leadership
  • Participate in the broader life of the congregation
  • Collaborate with elders, ministers, and ministry leaders
  • Support church-wide teaching, outreach, and fellowship efforts
  • Maintain healthy communication with students, parents, and volunteers


Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated commitment to biblical teaching and Christian living
  • Ability to lead worship with both musical competence and spiritual sensitivity
  • Ability to teach and connect effectively with young people
  • Strong relational and communication skills
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with church leadership
  • Formal ministry training or relevant experience preferred, but not required
