Description of Ministry Positions

The SCC Tech Ministry consists of 3 teams and many ways to serve:


  1. Worship Tech Team - Serving by making the audio/visual elements of SCC worship services successful with occasional assistance with other meetings.
  2. Social Media Team - Helping to manage SCC's online presence by engaging in popular social media platforms in a way that glorifies God. While this is a new type of ministry, it can have a huge impact on people's lives by connecting our brothers and sisters with the events and services they need and by engaging with the lost in a way that will draw them to take that step from reading an online post to meeting Jesus here at SCC.
  3. Tech Support Team - helping to manage the needs of the people and equipment used for the offices, classes, and the Early Learning Center. 


Here are just a few of the positions in which you can serve. Every position has a great impact on what we do in the Tech Ministry Team:


Audio Engineer

  • Description: Set up, takedown and monitoring of audio equipment for Sunday service (soundboard, microphones, instruments).
  • Requirement: Training will be provided.
  • Time Commitment: Depending on your specific position, 1 to 3 hours per week. Supporting 1 Sunday a month for 4 months.


Video Engineer

  • Description: Running audio/visual media on Sunday in the live performance software or live stream software.
  • Requirement: Training will be provided.
  • Time Commitment: 2 hours on Sunday morning. Supporting 1 Sunday a month for 4 months.


Service Prep / Post Production

  • Description: Preparing audio/visual media for Sunday services or updating videos after they are posted online.
  • Requirement: Training will be provided.
  • Time Commitment: Flexible schedule, 1 hour a week, 2 weeks a month.


Camera Engineer

  • Description: Running cameras during Sunday service.
  • Requirement: Training will be provided.
  • Time Commitment: 1 hour on Sunday morning. Supporting 1 Sunday a month for 4 months.


Social Media Team

  • Description: Managing social media (YouTube, FaceBook, Instagram, etc...). Interacting with both SCC members and the public. Promoting events, improving our online image, and hosting live stream folks.
  • Requirement: Training will be provided.
  • Time Commitment: 1 to 2 hours a week. Flexible schedule.


Tech Support Team

  • Description: Helping volunteers and staff with technology questions about the equipment and services used by SCC (email, computers, monitors, projectors) and setting up accounts for new team members. Primarily phone and email contact supporting Microsoft 365 services and other online tools. 
  • Requirement: Training will be provided. No experience is required. Of course, we can always use those who have experience or are interested in learning tech skills.
  • Time Commitment: 1 to 2 hours a week. Flexible schedule.
