Let's Play Pickleball!
Welcome everyone to our Pickleball Fellowship!
Now, you might be wondering—what does Pickleball have to do with faith?
Well, a few things actually.
- First, in both pickleball and fellowship, it’s not about playing alone—it’s about showing up, partnering together, and encouraging each other.
- Second, pickleball reminds us that sometimes life comes at us fast, and we’ve got to be ready to respond with grace (and maybe quick feet too!).
- And finally, just like in the game, the goal of fellowship isn’t to win points, but to build relationships and enjoy the time we’ve been given together.
Whether you’re a pro or it’s your first time holding a paddle, let’s remember—this is more about people than points, and about connection more than competition.
Let’s laugh, play, and grow together.
Whether you’ve played other sports or this is your very first time holding a paddle, you’re in the right place.
Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, and the reason is simple—it’s easy to learn, fun to play, and a great way to meet new people.
No idea how to play? No problem! We have got you covered!
We’re going to cover the basics—how to hold the paddle, how to serve, the rules of the game, and most importantly, how to enjoy yourself on the court.
Don’t worry about being perfect—pickleball is all about learning as you go, laughing at the funny bounces, and celebrating the little victories.
By the end of our time together, you’ll not only know the rules, but hopefully you’ll also discover why people fall in love with this sport so quickly.
So relax, have fun, and remember, stay out of the kitchen!
Do I need a paddle?
So glad you asked! No, we will have everything you need to have a great time learning and playing Pickelball!
Just wear athletic clothes and court/tennis shoes.
How old (young) do I have to be?
That is the great thing about pickleball, ANYONE can play and have a great time (ok, maybe not babies, but that's it!)
One of the great things about pickleball is that it’s truly a “lifelong” sport—there’s no strict age limit, either high or low.
- Young players: Kids as young as 5–6 years old can start learning. A great way for families to play and grow together. (10 and older for this event)
- Teens & adults: It’s super popular with middle school through college students.
- Older adults: Pickleball is especially well-loved among seniors because it’s easier on the joints than tennis, with a smaller court and a slower-moving ball. People in their 70s, 80s, and even 90s are still playing!
For our first meeting, we would like to keep the age between 10-99. Once mom and dad learn the game they can decide if their kiddos under 10 are able to play.
