In Luke Chapter 15 starting in verse 3, Jesus teaches with a parable how joyful it is when someone repents.

Luke 15:7 reads "I tell you in that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance."

Luke 15:10 tells us "In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."
